While many strive for technological advances, others are worried that technology can take over cognitive skills in human beings. From watching television to strolling on the Internet, humans are starting to depend too greatly on technological devices and are losing the importance of the malleability of the brain. Because we depend too greatly on technology, people will start to lose the concept of face-to-face interactions, enhancement of relationships, critical thinking processes, and writing abilities. My writing has changed; it is easier to write a couple pages and the not be so afraid of writing papers. This is because of the amount I’ve been writing for the class, and how comfortable I was to be able to speak my mind to you. These two pages didn’t faze me. I’ve started not caring so much about what others think about my papers and caring more about how I feel about my papers, as long as I feel like I’ve done a decent job with my paper I feel accomplished enough to turn them in and hope for the best.…

After this came an analysis of a visual text, followed by a research paper. The narrative was the easiest to write; however, I acquired important skills for writing the other two, which were in a less familiar format. With the three essays, I learned about my own writing skills and habits concerning development and critical thinking, time management, and organization.…
