Church Services:
I currently attend the Agape Lutheran Church in Cleveland where I have been going for over 2 years. I have had many experiences at this church, which includes my baptism. I help with setting up the alter etc. before the service, and help put it all away afterwards. I have also taken part in the the music since my stepmother, Tami, is the main musician for our church. When requested, I also enjoy assisting in the serving of communion and the gathering of offering. Giving to Goodwill:
When I can, I like to gather nice clothes of mine that I am no longer going to wear, and drop them off at Goodwill. I will also soon be gathering many stuffed animals, toys etc. and taking them to the Susan G. Komen Donation Center. It makes

Making a change in the world for the health care provided to Jehovah’s Witnesses didn’t become so personal until recently. My cousin who is a Jehovah’s Witness as well passed away last month after being put on the waiting list for liver transplant. She got sick two weeks before, but really didn’t think anything of it until she started having sharp stomach pain and was having trouble walking. She and her husband went to the hospital that night, there they tried to give her a blood transfusion, but since we do not accept blood as Jehovah’s Witnesses she refused to take it. The hospital they were at in Austin couldn’t assist her any further so they transferred her to the hospital down here in Katy where things started to take a turn for the worse.…

Missional God, Missional Church, packed a lot of content into the first set of reading. Upon reading pages 37-79, I feel that the main focus of the reading was to discuss how the Western Churches have become disconnected from culture and are starting to break free from culture as well. I feel that the author was trying to show that we have become confused in what culture truly is. Early on in the reading, the author states that culture does have positive attributes, such as beauty. Beauty in dress style, the music, and the dialects.…

All-Saints Episcopal Church was a religious experience that made my religious faith Roman Catholic to be challenged and was taught over the years. To begin, it challenged my religious faith, as some traditions that I learned from my Catholic faith were not present such as having one main Priest to there were many here involving women as well. Second, another thing that challenged the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church that I learned and being present at All-Saints Episcopal Church is hearing the homily from a women which I have not experienced before to it was fifteen minutes long. As talking about the homily, I believe the message was that to help others, care for each other, and finding your necessary thing in life. This relates to Christian faith and life because as indicated in the Bible to love one another and do things to other people, as you would like to be treated and to love one another.…

I believe these are true contributions of Lutheranism because they are still in existence today and have been the most influential in my life through my experience both in attending Lutheran services but also my Baptist church back home. When Luther broke away from the Catholic Church he started a reformation in which he distinguished his worship practices in the forming of Lutheranism. Some main aspects were being confirmed through faith first, relying on scripture alone, and focusing on the two sacraments…

Corruption, judgement, and inequality are all stories the media presents about the Catholic church . Many take this at face value, and I cannot blame them. There has been a lot of corruption associated with the church, and it may be hard for some to see that these are the actions of a few rather than the philosophy of the whole. Though the reputation of the institution may be tainted, the actual building where I attend mass, does not reflect that negativity. As a Catholic who received a parochial education for 10 years, I see my church in a completely different light.…
