Is America the great, really that great? Has it honestly earned this title, or is it a great fabrication? Every day the news covers multitudes of murders, massacres, and hate crimes involved with racial discrimination, all over America. Even though the Civil Rights outlawed racial discrimination in the workplace, in public, and in schools, it’s still seen every day. This problem is getting more and more out of hand, people are getting turned down for job opportunities because of false judgement and kids are not getting proper education because of the color of their skin. The people are starting to take a stand to demand their rights, and some are demanding in a violent way that could end up starting a cultural war in America with its own people.

Citizens are starting to lash out on police officers and even killing them. The people are exhausted from trying to be a part of a country that is fighting to keep them from being a part of it. They are standing up, demanding justice, and not backing down. Racial Profiling may be the biggest problem our country faces, and could make America go into a modern day war. Martin Luther King Jr. and many other great people fought to achieve the Civil Rights Act that was passed in 1964. Racial Profiling goes against this right and should be banned, or have harsher punishments when is displayed. Furthermore, cops are taking it upon themselves to kill many innocent people, there needs to be a better way to protect themselves without having to resort into taking someone’s life. As John F. Kennedy states “The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human lives…” (Kennedy pg1. 1961). There should be alternative ways to neutralize the situation. When a cop kills an innocent man out of assumptions, it causes a great uproar within America and people start to protest violently. So I firmly believe that racial profiling is not going to help America, it’s going to bring chaos and war. Racial profiling and discrimination needs to stop, and America needs to come together. As Martin Luther King states, “Let us all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away and the deep fog of misunderstanding will be lifted from out fear-drenched communities and in some not too distant tomorrow the radiant stars of love and brotherhood will shine over our great nation with all of their scintillating beauty (King, 1963 pg.20).” How can the Unites States be called America the great when the people are killing each other and not being treated as
