Racial profiling is happening all over the world. Social media is trending with people in outrage about the profiling that is happening with law enforcement officers. Police officers are talked about the most when it comes to racial profiling. Two of the most popular talked about cases are the Michael Brown and Tamir Rice incidents, there are many more cases but those are two of the most trending examples of racial profiling. Two innocent young men that didn’t even have a chance to grow up and live life, was taken too soon by a white police officer. It is even happening in North Carolina. Police officers in North Carolina are not shooting innocent people but minorities are more likely to get stopped and searched than a white person. In order for something to be done about this, the government need to enforce some more rules and regulations. In order to put a stop to this the government need to make sure all law enforcement agencies follow the same policies. We are all humans and have the right to be treated the same by the law. The government and the states need to come together and figure out a plan to solve the problem that is going on with racial profiling. Laws and policies need to be put in place so this can stop happening. It has been happening for a while and an officer’s job is to serve and protect the citizens, not kill them. Instead of pulling the trigger just because of a skin color, police officers need to remember what their job is.
