One change needed is to give the teachers more effective ways to collect data in the RTI model. By providing effectiveness in data collection; it will allow for educators to use less time understanding complex data collection and utilize time in a sufficient matter. In addition to data collection, providing a time to effectively collaborate with others in the special education department, as well, as the general education department can allow for teachers to gain knowledge and strategies associated with program effectiveness. The support from leaders should be conducted throughout the week, and concerns associated with the program effectiveness should be expressed without penalties. Effective leadership in RTI and special education is deemed necessary for the administration to have an outlook on the roles and responsibilities of the special educator, and to understand the importance of support for these populations. This is important because it will decrease burnout and give the special educators a positive outlook on the support form administration.
