Although, I agree with most of the classmates stating the challenges of public health being funding, politics and working with the different departments. One important challenge, I would like to point, is understaffing and lack of work force competency. Most of the public health workers today have not been formally trained or equipped with core public health competencies while their work becomes more demanding. In this situation, upgrading the workforce to cope with the demanding situation is a challenge for public health leadership. Public health itself is a challenging filed and the leadership have more curtail and challenging role.
