Her credentials include being a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Physicians, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Chassiakos worked at UCLA for 13 years at the Arthur Ashe Student Health Center, Dr. Chassiakos before coming to CSUN in 2000 to serve as the director the Student Health Center.
A challenge that Dr. Chassiakos expressed was wishing they could do and provide more for the students at CSUN. Ideally she would want more money and incorporate more staff at the Klotz center to provide more for the staff. Another issue is mental health she would like to focus and incorporate more mental health services at the school and Klotz center. It can be very expensive in which can make it difficult to obtain.

Lynne Ledata a licensed nurse practitioner reduces and holds a Masters degree from UCLA. Her professional background consists of working in open-heart surgery/ critical for 13 years. Each individual interview gave us a little different advice that was able to build on top of each other. Mercedes Gallup left us with say yes to everything as it will only lead us to experience and gives us opportunity grow or see where we want to go. Dr. Chassiakos, said whereas “health leaders” use to have MD, RN or some kind of hands on background but it is no longer needed in the filed of public or administration health. To develop as a leader create or form allies/team players and find a dynamic from everyone and make the team part of the advisory team. Give opportunity to everyone and work together. Lynne Landeta’s guidance was to understand the culture your in to help you succeed. Along with if your environment doesn’t work for you try to change it to work for you. Advice Marianne Link said to find internships and one that you really want to investigate as opposed to what comes easy and while your there always do your best. While you intern try to learn as opposed to just being there.
Opportunities and skills need for specific jobs:
Although there weren’t any specific opportunities or skills needed for the positions that each individual were in. However, what was clear was when starting their careers they made and mold their positions to what they wanted.
