Pro Life Vs. Pro Choice
“One in three women will have an abortion by the age of 45.” Meaning around 43% of women in the U.S. population will have an abortion some time in their life. The definition of abortion is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Therefore, abortion is immoral and unethical because it is the intentional killing of a human being. When people decide to have sex they are taking that risk of pregnancy. Whether protection or birth control was used or not pregnancy is still a chance. Abortion is such a controversial issue in society because although some people are completely against it some people can not choose because they believe women should have the right to choose what to do with their body. However, women who want complete control over their body should include preventing unwanted pregnancy through taking the right precautions or remaining abstinent. With all things considered, Americans should be against abortion because it can result in medical complications later on in life, it is taking a human life, and adoption is always another alternative.
Abortions can be very risky being that they can result in medical complications later on down the line. Some risks women who receive abortions are taking are the risk of ectopic pregnancies, future miscarriages, and pelvic inflammatory disease.
