Presidential Candidate Contrast: Ben Carson vs. Hillary Clinton With so much information circulating in the media about most candidates in the presidential elections for 2016, it can feel overwhelming to decide who to vote for. The best way to find out the stance each presidential hopeful has on issues that are important to the voter is to do research using credible sources. It is also important not to be swayed by the assault of misleading information which is sure to arise during the upcoming political campaign. The choice to evaluate Hillary Clinton and Ben Carson was based on their perceived antagonism on stances such as abortion, same sex marriage and gun ownership. Following are some of the contrasts between these candidates ideologies in reference to current issues facing our country. Hillary Clinton strongly believes that abortion is a woman 's unrestricted right. She strongly agrees with legally requiring employers to hire women and minorities and strongly supports same sex marriage. Concerning religion, she disagrees with keeping God in the public sphere. Mrs. Clinton strongly disagrees with the absolute right to gun ownership and strongly supports expanding the Obama Care program. Furthermore, she strongly agrees with the idea of higher taxes on the wealthy and believes that providing a pathway to citizenship for illegal aliens is the best solution to the immigration dilemma.
