The next presidential election is likely going to come down to picking the lessor of two evils. The presidential candidates will likely be Hillary Clinton, who is a democrat and former secretary of state, and Donald Trump, who is a republican and the president of The Trump Organization (1). Hillary Clinton held an elective office for eight years, which is seven years less than the average 2016 presidential candidate, but it is eight years more than Donald Trump, who has never served in an elective office. Mrs. Clinton has also been an attorney and assistant professor at the University of Arkansas Law School. Mr. Trump has been running The Trump Organization since 1975 through this present day. While secretary of state, Hillary Clinton deleted thousands of emails which by law belong to the federal government, which has the right to see them. She said they were just personal, but when they were retrieved, there were a lot of government emails …show more content…
Hillary Clinton is in favor of expanding Obamacare, creating citizenship for illegal immigrants, higher taxes on the wealthy, pro-choice, legally requiring the hiring women and minorities, same-sex marriage, expanding free trade, and prioritizing green energy. She opposed to: expanding the military, avoiding foreign issues, keeping God in public things, viewing marijuana is a gateway drug, the absolute right to owning guns, privatizing social security, and vouchers for school choice. Donald Trump on the other had is in favor of: keeping God in public things, higher taxes on the rich, harsher punishment to reduce crime, and the ownership of guns. He is against: pro-choice, expanding the military, expanding Obamacare, expanding free trade, avoiding foreign issues, legally being required to hire women and other minorities, and same-sex marriage. Overall, Donald Trump is more conservative on domestic, economical, and international issues than Hillary Clinton
