Carson has such a strong stance on abortion because he knows how valuable the lives of those unborn children really are when he lost two of his own children. Carson’s stance on abortion is a pro-life stance. The pro-life stance is the stance that abortions are wrong and that it is murder. They interpret the constitution literally when it says that all people have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness(Gordon, Abortion). Those who oppose this stance claim that the baby is not considered alive, or a person for that matter, and therefore has no human rights to deny to it(Gordon, Abortion). However, those who agree with the pro-life stance say that life begins at the moment of conception, and that just because the infant doesn’t look like a human doesn’t mean that it is not one.Carson is considered to be pro-life meaning he believes in the sanctity of life, and that aborting a child for convenience is repulsive and wrong(Gordon, Abortion). He believes that the only time to ever consider an abortion is in the case of rape, insest, or anything else in that nature, and when the mother’s life is threatened by completing their pregnancy(Gordon, Abortion). Carson has supported many pro-life acts in order to give the unborn a chance at life. For example, Carson support the Pain-Capable Child Protection Act, this act protects all babies who are capable of feeling pain from being aborted(Gordon, Abortion). Carson also supports banning all abortions after the child is twenty weeks old(Gordon, Abortion). Carson would be an extremely electable candidate because he has the best interests of the future generations at heart, and will actively stride to abolish any and all unwarrented
