I think that its the syndrome of I hold the badge instead of right or wrong. We have seen change with officers and we still have experienced those who rather keep the old ways in motion. It was a good decision for the police department to contribute dash cameras; to me it protects the interest of both the officer and the individual. The truth is to me it’s like a finger print when the camera is in motion. There are several examples that I could talk about reference to discrimination but I only want to address the names of victims that had been faced with police discrimination like, Michael Brown, Oscar Grant and Eric Garner all in some way was discriminated by officers because of the color of their skin. The example I want to use is a video where a police officer on camera is making a discriminatory remark about black people to a white woman that was pulled over. In the video you see a woman with her hands up indicating that she feared what would happen when encountering the police but it was the remark that strikes the community, WE ONLY KILL BLACK PEOPLE”.
