Loss of independence can be one of the effects of discrimination on the service user would be that he/she may lose their independence as a person. They are not able to do anything themselves and has someone doing it for them. Loss independence can be normal things such as going toilet, eating and standing up or sitting down. It is when you rely or need assistance of someone to do these activities. For example being disabled and you are discriminated the effects would be that you are made to feel dependant and a work overload on someone and so this also leads to losing motivation to help themselves. You also lose yourself worth and don’t think yourself as worthy in this world and a burden on people which can lead to a failure of treatments follow as you may not want to get treated well or the person discriminating you doesn’t look after you
