Personal Responsibility
Even though in reality you do not have one hundred percent control over every event that will occur in life, taking control over what you can in life is empowering. Personal Responsibility is a behavior learned and one should declare that they are responsible for what they do for success in college. Taking responsibility requires hard word, dedication and patience. To become a successful college student one must learn from their own mistakes and understand what needs to be done to perform at their best.

Considering self-management is important because it allows you to take control of your time. Time is precious and you cannot get it back once it is gone. Always create goals to achieve, no matter how big or small, reward yourself. A good idea would be to revisit your goals so that you can give yourself credit for your success. Also be able to distinguish the difference between your long term and short term goals. You can apply these set of skills in college, so you are able to see your purpose for being in college.
To master personal responsibility it takes perseverance, commitment and endurance. If you think positive you will have positive results. If you think negative you will have negative results. For example, if you were to receive an “F” on an assignment, you could easily say that you are a failure. However, you could also look at it as feedback, which would be a positive thought. Speak good things into existence. Also motivate yourself and have confidence. In class do not be afraid to ask questions, someone else is probably wondering the same thing. Do not be afraid to shine and show off your strengths and great abilities. If you believe in yourself, you will definitely see success.
Sometimes taking responsibility for you own actions can be very difficult. It is very easy to blame others for your wrong doing, which you will not gain anything from doing so. Learn from your mistakes, understand what the mistake was,
