My Responsibilities to America
What are my responsibilities to America? I have never been asked this question so I questioned myself what are my responsibilities as an american citizen. Most importantly what are my responsibilities to america as an African american citizen. As a teenager I am starting to realize the importance of everything in life. All of my perspectives and views are turning into my bias. I am a very very deep thinker and I can jump from conclusion to conclusion really fast and forget the things I was already discussing,but something stood out to me this time... The question was asked already and I was into deep thinking mode, continuing to think is that question bias itself. So I followed the quote of “Accept responsibility for your actions, be accountable for your results, and take ownership of your mistakes. Responsibilities are the ability to act independently and to be accountable of something important. I feel as if your responsibilities should be first established at home.Your home is the place you’re taught how to speak, clean and etc. Yes those are simple tasks, but they’re your responsibilities and they teach you what responsibilities are. I feel as if your actions determine what responsibilities you hold, and what you are accountable for. Here I go again going into a deep thought. I realized that it also says that your responsibilities can show how your actions are which can lead to bigger and better responsibilities to be proud of. Responsibilities, tasks, biases and stereotypes all fall in the same category in my opinion, but don’t necessarily mean the same thing. Most people would probably think why put those four words
