Personal Narrative: My Trip To Alabama

Improved Essays
“I have to get out of here.” I thought as soon as I opened my eyes. I was woken up from a hit in the face by a half-awake Brooke, telling me that my sister was calling me. We 've been in Alabama for four days and we leave tomorrow morning. I cannot wait to be home. This trip has not been at all how I wanted it to be. We 'd been planning this trip for months. It 's a graduation present from my mom and uncle. As part of the gift, I got to bring two friends. Of course I chose to bring my two best friends Brooke and Gabi. I was expecting this trip to be full of excitement and new memories to take with me to college, but I feel as if all my friends want to do is sit at the hotel and do nothing. The first couple of days were enjoyable following the 12 hour drive from Texas to Alabama. We went to some shops, tried out a local pizza place and hit the beach for hours on end. Unfortunately, after the first day, Brooke had a really harsh sun burn. Disregarding what everyone …show more content…
I had talked to my mom about what I should do all morning. The only real advice she gave me is I shouldn’t be friends with them anymore because of how they’re leaving me out. I’ve already figured they won’t want to be friends with me anyways, after what my mom told them through text. I mean, who would want to be my friend after that? I’ll just keep the conversation short and sweet.

I can’t believe it. Brooke wouldn’t say sorry for anything. She says she “doesn’t feel the need to” since she didn’t know she was doing anything wrong. She said she still wants to be friends, however, I believe I’ll be taking my mom’s advice on this one. I’ll just have to fake it until we get back home to Texas. After that, I don’t have to talk to her anymore. I just can’t imagine someone wanting to be friends with someone who is so prideful that they can’t even apologize for being

When I was six years old, I started to get moved around from house to house. I lived in North Chicago, Illinois in a 3-bedroom red and burgundy colored house. I loved playing in the basement with my cousins and sister. We would hang a white hanger from the ceiling to act as a basketball hoop and use balled up socks to shoot baskets. We would stay down there until my granny called us up for dinner.…

I immediately quieted down. I felt guilty. She couldn't possibly be friends with me, and there was no way I could have made her tears any better. Besides, the only time she could continue to talk to me required stayed here for even longer after dark. Staying for any amount of time after dark at Freddy Fazbear's pizza was dangerous, and I couldn't possibly make her have to go through what the night guards here had to go through...…

Growing up in southern Louisiana I often found myself sitting around and enjoying the abundance of delicious foods the area had to offer. My family would often eat more fried foods in a day than most families would eat in a week. By the time I was 10 years old I was weighing almost 150 pounds. I often found myself alone watching other kids gather up to play sports in the park. Lacking the physical strength and social skills to compete I often found myself at the early age of 10 seeing a doctor to deal with the stress of not being able to play with other kids.…

I’ve lived my entire life in Indiana, as have my parents. My mom and dad were raised close to Monroe and went to Adams Central, where they met and fell in love. They ended up moving north to Fort Wayne where they had my sister and I. We began our schooling in FWCS, but we moved farther north to the tiny town of Huntertown later, which led to my sister and I switching to NACS for my high schooling and her middle and high schooling. Due to all of the events that have happened here in Indiana throughout my life, and due to most of my immediate family living in the area, I have a desire to continue living and working here.…

On a sweltering summer day in the City of Atlanta or the “ATL” as it is affectionately known today, I visited my best friend while he visited his father for the summer. That day I remember vividly because as soon as we stepped outside of the airport to take the “MARTA” train, I began to sweat profusely. Anyone that has been to Atlanta during the summer knows it is incredibly humid there. A week earlier I had seen my friend, and we planned out what we were going to do that week I visited. I knew I wanted to visit Spellman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, and Morris Brown College, but before I could visit the Atlanta University Center or the “AUC” as it is called to the locals, I felt compelled to visit the grave site of one of the most influential human being to walk this earth.…
