It was a game I never will forget.. We received the ball at the beginning of the game, and as we profusely drove the ball down their throats. The Clare Pioneers who we have not beat since 2006, cannot stop the run. All the sudden it is the fourth quarter and we are losing, 22-28 still driving the ball down the field we get stopped about three yards shy of a first down. So we pass the ball.. From under center Donald call Hit! he rolls right and as he gets hit he throws looking for Eddie down the side and its intercepted and as i see him pick it off my heart drops. We lost that game 42-22. I was heartbroken i thought it would be the year we knock off the Pioneers as the JackPine champs. i said “Dad, what is this?” he said back to me “it is football Tommy.” and at that moment I was so intrigued by them kicking it between the “big yellow things” as I called them when I was a kid but I later learned they were called Goal posts. And so i asked my dad “Dad.. how do you play this game?” and he said “If you have time I will tell you.” So after a while of talking to him the urge to play this game got bigger and bigger! So I explained to my dad why I liked this game and he said they were starting a youth football league and I freaked out at the time I was in 4th grade and next would be my time to shine! So fifth grade year comes around I 'm all signed up for football and excited first practice so excited! I get there and I am told I cannot participate because I didn 't have my physical so here I am wondering what a physical is. I get home and my mom and dad ask me how practice went and I told them I couldn 't participate and they said why? I told them I needed a physical. So during school that I get my first ever physical and I am going say that was not what I …show more content…
So it 's my first game and I get up to the line and it 's a thirty four lead and I block my guy and I put him on the ground my first ever pancake block ever! And after that game the coaches put me on the starting offensive line but not at guard at center! I have never ever played this position before so all week at practice they give me reps all week at center and they told me to go and watch the high schoolers play so my dad and I did and this is when they were good like we are now. And I went to most the games and they only lost one game and it was too grayling, I remember the Tyler brothers were the stars of the team, them being Mitch and Trevor. As the season progresses in my first season of play i noticed myself becoming really good not good enough as some coaches would say. Starting my sixth grade year I really started to enjoy football and that year my dad starting coaching me! That same year I even got my own nickname Tommy “The Tank” Tiepel. As my

When playing Trojan football you normally see juniors and seniors out on the field underneath all of the lights. What was once a fun sport to play with friends and family started to feel more like a job. The excitement and anticipation I had once had for practices turned to a bitter regret. The football practices in high school were polar opposites of my fun, exciting, little league practices. And on top of that, my school hadn’t had a winning season in the past five years. My love for football was still there and I still dreamed of playing College or NFL football but I saw myself starting to dread practices.…

However I struggled my spring season being on JV. That summer however I caught fire, and turned into a dominant pitcher. I played so well I dropped football, and joined a Mankato state fall league, where I continued lighting up the radar gun. They would save me until the end of games, so that they college coach would be there to watch me pitch against the other team. I also joined speech my ninth and tenth grade years which I was very successful at, missing state by one place my freshman year, and two places my sophomore year but I never really had a passion for it, and quit after that year.…

But it didn't look to good for us on there first drive they had a 30 yard pass down the field for a touchdown and that gave them a lot of momentum and confidence to keep going and at that moment everyone on my team had a discretion that we were gonna lose. After the game are coach was really angry at us and yelled at us and i can remember him looking right at me and specifically saying that “You’ll always be too small, you should quit. hWhich i didn't really have an understanding of why he was only really mad at me but i sorta had and idea because we hadn't lost this season and i was even mad at myself at the end of the game but i couldn't help but feel like he was making it sound like we lost because of me and that really stuck with…

The Dream Dreams are important, but to make them come true you have to work hard to reach them. Bobby Jones was just another freshman showing up on The Ohio State campus, except he was a recruited football player. He got a full ride scholarship for being a talented player and having a 4.0 G.P.A. He walked into the giant stadium and saw the rest of the team practicing. "You 're late," offensive head Coach Wagner bellowed "Get your gear on and get your rump out here!"…

The ball was placed on the 1 yard line and we had to go all the way to the other end zone. The coach called some plays and they were all runs. It came to fourth down and 10 to go to get a first down and we had to go 40 yards to score a touchdown. The coach called a run play, and in my head it did not make any sense, so I changed the play to a pass play. I said “Red, Set, Go" and we ran the pass play, the coaches were “Screaming that’s not the play!” I ignored what they were saying and continue the play.…

Then at the 10:27 mark of the quarter Huntington quarterback, Elijah McCloskey was picked off by Buster Trent. The young Bearcats played the first series very well, almost like they were showing their fans that they had put last week behind them and were ready to move on. The Young Bearcats offense lost the ball when, #60(not on the roster I have) pounced on a fumble with,7:30 showing on the clock. Once again it would be the Bearcats defense coming up big at the 6:33 mark of the quarter when Jay Riley picked off a McCloskey, to give the Bearcats the momentum…
