Baseball Mistakes

Some of my successes in life include winning baseball tournaments, getting voted into the allstars in my baseball league, being the youngest kid in colorado to get his license to hunt, and firing a 306 when i was 6 without my arm falling off.

My 1st success in baseball was when i was 7 years old and my team was losing the championship game by 2 points, so when i got up to bat there was a guy on 3d base and on 2nd, we already had 2 outs so if i got out we lost the game here. So when i got up to bat i got 2 strikes and the next pitch i hit allowing me to get to 2nd base and my teammates on bases 2 and 3 to get home and score the 2 points we needed to tie the game and go into overtime. I ended up running home on the next bat and after we scored

I was apart of a different baseball league. I went to the tryouts and didn't do very good but still made a team called the cubs. I went to the practices and still didnt do to good there. But when our 1st game came, i owned them. I was the 3d baseman and our main pitchers arm was getting tired so he couldn't throw strikes and kept throwing “balls”. So the coach knowing i have pitched before had him switch out with me. It was my turn to pitch, and i did good. The rest of the game only hit was made wial i was pitching and i struck everyone out. I then was our best picher. The next 10-12 games i continued to strike everyone out. We had only lost 2 games that season and were the best team in the league. One game before the championship game i was voted to be on the all star team. Sadly tho the next day which was the day of the championship game my mom took me and my sister and brought us up to fort collins and wouldn't bring us home. So i then became the giver of 0 F**Ks and stopped caring about anything, i found out a week later from an email from the coach that they had lost the game because our backup picher had a broken arm so i was our only picher besides …show more content…
I was 8 years old and my dad went to take a weekend class to get his hunter's license. I wanted to go with him and get it to, But he thought i was to young and couldn't make it. So after trying to convince him to let me go he said yes and i gotta go take the class and try to get my license. We went to the class that sunday morning at a cabelas and we began the 1st day of the 8 hour long class. They had us learning all the rules and regulations, what animals are legal and illegal to hunt, what weapons and calibers were legal to use will hunting. The 1st day was so boring and i fell asleep during some of it. The next day they brought the entire class to a shooting range were we learned weapons safety and how to handle weapons. We got to fire some rifles ( tho it wasn't my 1st time firing a gun i was nervous) and we had to have a 5 inch grouping of 10 shots on the target to pass. I got a 3 inch grouping on the targeted and ripped it up. We then went back to the classroom and took the final test. It was a 16 page test and we had 5 hours to finish it. I don't remember a lot of the stuff on it and had to guess with most of the questions. So at the end of it when i finished i turned it into the instructor. He graded it and i got a 67%, so he gave me a 2nd chance to go thru it and try to correct the answers. The 2nd time i send thru it and corrected all my mistakes. I then brought it back up to the instructor but

The team I played for last summer, the Mead High School legion team, was a group of pretty talented guys. Most of my teammates were above average players and it was honestly really hard to try and compare to them. I had to put in a lot of hard work to be able to even think of comparing myself to them. We ended up flying through the first round of our playoffs, with only a single game standing between us and the semifinals. Of course, the game came down he the final inning, Mead has two outs and runners…

First Home Run The pitcher steps on to the mound and is ready to pitch, and whoosh in comes a fastball and crack the way I hit the ball sounded like banging a hammer on a piece of metal and as I took off running I watched the ball sail out of the park for my first home run. As I rounded second base I could hear the voices of sister Larissa my mom Leeann and my dad John screaming for me and could feel a lot of excitement from the crowd. In this story I am going to tell you about when I hit my first home run and second home run and how doing such really amazing thing can humble you.. And one more thing I will talk about is the type of bat I was using and where you can buy that type of baseball equipment.…

Skip ahead a few years to my college life and picture this UCLA, I used my talents there and made the best of it playing in sports like Track,Basketball and Football. I thought nothing could go wrong until my mother Mallie was having some troubles with her life at home despite UCLA offering me financial help if I stayed I still went to my Mother's aid. Soon after with the war going on I was drafted into the military and after a few months of dealing with the racism there and the bad people I asked for a discharge, I was granted my request but before I left Fort Riley, Kansas one of my fellow soldiers got word of an opening with the Kansas City Monarchs and of course I took it so with that said it was time to take my athletic talents to Kansas City. The team wasn't as good as the stories said but that was reasonable considering with the war most of the players were with the armed forces, but there was no other way to start my career at the time than with the negro league pennant races underway. We ended up winning five of six games with my help things were looking good…

So he decided to call the students one by one but of course he was basing himself on the roster that he had. Indeed my turned came, and he told me that sadly I didn’t pass, and that he was sad because, he knew that I was a good student that he doesn’t know what happened to me. So yes the next semester came around, and it’s like this if you don’t pass it they right away give you a retaining class which that pretty much means that you didn’t pass the test, and in the other hand you’re going to waste another half semester in a retaining class instead of you taking another, class that it could be really useful, or one that you just simply need. Well long story short I finally walked in, and I actually got a pretty nice teacher that he could actually controlled the classes that he had. Well indeed, finally the day of the exam came over, and I simply told myself that I could do it that I simply just had to read it carefully, and just simply had to take my time, and this time I was going to pass because, I had a really good teacher, and…

If there was one thing I was used to by now, it was that whenever something didn’t go well for me on the baseball field, the future holds green pastures only if I go looking for it. So sure enough, after that loss, I set my eyes ahead to the next season. That final season we had a great start, winning a lot of games, but we ended up barely making the playoff as somewhat of an underdog. We didn’t think about anything that was at stake, we simply played our game all the way to the championship game without a loss in the playoffs. We won the first game of he series and were winning for the majority of the second game.…

My cousin and I quickly shut them out and it was our turn at the plate. My cousin, who never played baseball but was athletic, led our team off with a double. Before I was even born it seemed it was in my destiny to be a basketball player. My mom won a high school state championship and was some kind of legend in town. When she first signed me up to play in our town rec league, all of the men who ran the league couldn’t believe she didn’t sign up to coach. One of the guys at the table then turned to me and told me he was there when my mom scored the winning basket at the Boston Garden to take the team to the state championship game.…
