There I was going through the pig's trachea and went straight to his heart. Having a pig’s heart in my hands was amazing, nothing that exciting has happened to me until I decided to dissect a pig. I put the heart down and went on with my adventure, went to the pig’s stomach and poked a little hole in it, and brown liquid started to oozing out. It was probably the most disgusting but exciting thing I have seen in that class.
When I found out my school offered physiology and anatomy I knew I had to take it, I have always wanted to dissect an animal and even a human because I want to see inside our bodies. How everything works, what doesn’t work when you do this to it or whatever it is. I want to be able to hold in my hands a human heart, and a human brain. My reasoning for wanting to attend a medical school is I want to know how our brains function, how our nervous work throughout our brain. I would love to attend the University of Washington to study Neurosurgery because it is the ranked the best in the Nation. I want to have the strive ya’ll have that goes into the program, and have it as well. Having a world-renowned academic neurological program and letting third or fourth year medical students participate is amazing, and I hope when I’m at my third year I will participate in
