Personal Narrative One year ago I went on a trip with my family to Cancun, Mexico. My grandparents brought us all into the kitchen, then said “For our 50th wedding anniversary, we our taking the family on a trip”. After we got the news two years ago, we were counting down the days to the trip. At first it felt like it was going to take a decade until we would finally be able to go on the trip, but the days started going faster and faster. The day had finally come, December 25th which is not my favorite day to go on a trip, but I was really excited so it didn't matter. The one reason why I was so excited for the trip was because my mom had told us that there was going Xel Ha, which a water park where you have a snorkel, flippers, goggles, and a life jacket. Using the gear they give you, you are able to swim around and look at fish. Besides the snorkeling, there was also places where you can jump off of a ledge, zip line, and eat food. It was so neat being able to be that close to all the fish, until I noticed a sting ray was lying in the sand almost fully camouflaged. I wasn't really scared of it, just shocked that I was so close to it and didn't notice. The day of Xel Ha was finally come to an end, but I was more happy than sad, because I was finally able to visit Xel
