It is vital to ensure correct labelling of the iv solution to show whether anything additionally has been added to the solution (merry et al pg. 146). Intravenous Infusion is the fastest method to deliver fluids and medications to the body. Adhering to the rules and rights of medication offers to the safe administration.

The analyzation of this skill has been very therapeutic, recognizing areas that I need improvement for my nursing practice of this skill to ensure best nursing techniques are showed, this has highlighted areas of interested and allowed me to look at context of skills. Taking the time to look at evidence based information on the skills that were missed in the videoing is vital to give insight into exactly why those steps of care are important to offering the best outcome for the patient. As an individual who learns better by context taking time to review what has been learnt and retained by the videoing gives a tool I do not usually use as a learning implementation.
