Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego in the form of singing birds and flowers (117). Guadalupe came to Juan to declare her love for all the earth and her “desire to become the mother of all nations, making all peoples her children” (118). When Guadalupe says this, she does not just make a covenant with Juan Diego, but she makes it with all the people on the earth and calling them her children. Her Son loves us unconditionally and so does Our Father, and they have both declared it, so why should Our mother not declare her love for us in a way only a mother can? I found it beautiful and inspiring that she chose to appear in the singing of the birds and the rays of light. That image is very powerful, peaceful, and breath-taking. It is an image of pure, innocent, nature that God created. An image worthy of a mothers love for her
