So, the virgen de Guadalupe ordered him to collect dozens of roses. He went to the bishop and opened his robe, causing dozens of roses to fall. On the inside of his robe there was a picture of Mary. In order to gain Aztec cooperation, the Spanish transformed Aztec gods, the “mother god” into one of their own: La Virgen de Guadalupe. The
