One day I had My friend over his name was Tommy. We loved playing catch together until one day. We decided to go outside and play catch with the football, and tried to do practice plays from the Packers play book. There was this one play that was our favorite play out of the whole playbook. It was running back screen, and it was so fun. Then after we ran that play for twenty minutes we changed the play up a little bit. I decided that Tommy would ran a little bit farther than the original play had. So we ran it for a couple of times see what we could change about the play. We ran it one more time and Tommy went to jump up and catch it, and he did a backflip and landed on his right ankle.

So I helped him up and into the house to put ice on it. Tommy said “Ahhhhh It really hurts!” I said “I know it will hurt for a while but just put ice on it for the rest of the time your here.”“I Know” said Tommy so I got up and got Tommy a glass of ice tea and I got him pillow and I bought the xbox up stairs. So we could play some call of duty black ops three. We played about four rounds and then we played some madden NFL 17. I was the dreaded Pittsburgh Steelers and he was the awesome Green Bay Packers, and we play at the super bowl and the Packers were up by ten points. So I had to think fast in order for the Steelers to win the the game. It was 3rd and ten and the Steelers were down by three and Big Ben hiked the ball and we threw it to Antonio

They drop back to pass I'm back, watching the QB's eyes like a hawk. He tries to throw it by our blitzing linebacker who tips it in the air. It felt like time stood still, the ball and the championship hanging in the balance. If it's caught it's a touchdown since no one was near besides huge slow linemen.…

One day my friend had me over to his house and we played games and ran around all night, then when it was morning we were bored and we decided we wanted to play a video game and we decided that we would fight to see who would get the comfy chair. Little did we know that it was not a good idea!!! We ended up fighting for the chair and he jumped on it and then I tried to get it by jumping on him and forcing him out but instead we spun around and around. I ended up falling off and was so dizzy that I stumbled and hit the fire plays head first and got a big old goose egg! I learned not to jump on a spinny chair, let alone with another person on it.…

Sixty miles per hour is the speed at which the average softball player throws the ball; so I guess you could say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but I believe I was exactly where I was supposed to be. You know how some people say there was a certain moment that changed their life completely? Well, this was that moment for me, and it all was caused by a miscommunication. Miscommunications happen all of the time, but with a softball that isn't actually soft, and someone standing only 30 feet away from you; well you can already see the implications. At the time, I didn't see what was going to unfold, but I had a bad feeling about what was to come.…

My dad has always told me to never give up! By him doing that, I have learned so much as in knowing how to talk to other people, treating people with respect, but most importantly to me is how to play softball. I have learned so much from my dad about softball mainly because he would stay on me about it and never let me turn my head on the task he was trying to teach me. We would go to the ball fields and practice, practice, and practice. I would start getting aggravated at him cause it seems as if we would be there all day at times, but come to find out he only done it to make me better.…

Through Rugby I became the person I am today. Some students have interests or hobbies that define them, and for me that has always been Rugby. As a young boy my Father told me many stories of his rugby days in college, he showed up at college not knowing anyone, and someone asked him to come out and play rugby. He didn’t know anything about rugby, but he had some great adventures with his team, and made friends he still has today. Being a boy who loved to hear these stories, and wanted to make my own, I asked my Father if we could start a rugby team.…

Last year during the baseball season, I was running into a plethora of problems such as not making contact and not getting hits. This made me feel hopeless and listless, as I had played baseball for years, and playing the sport was one of my favorite hobbies. I never expected something bad to happen that day. It was my parents anniversary night, May 11th, 2017, and of course, I had a softball game. We knew that the opposing team was better than us, but we still played hard, until the accident, that is when everything fell apart. My parents anniversary night was on one of my last home games of the season, but not the teams. Our game was at the Hyatt Elementary softball/baseball fields.…

My experiences that night were not forgotten, but today I couldn’t even tell you if we won the game that night. The lessons I learned that night weren’t about winning and losing, I had done plenty of that already in my life.…
