Personal Narrative: The Belly Chair

One day my friend had me over to his house and we played games and ran around all night, then when it was morning we were bored and we decided we wanted to play a video game and we decided that we would fight to see who would get the comfy chair. Little did we know that it was not a good idea!!!

We ended up fighting for the chair and he jumped on it and then I tried to get it by jumping on him and forcing him out but instead we spun around and around. I ended up falling off and was so dizzy that I stumbled and hit the fire plays head first and got a big old goose egg!

I learned not to jump on a spinny chair, let alone with another person on it. I had a big ole goose egg on my head for 5 hours and thankfully my mom was not home to yell at

It was about 3:45 in the morning on a Sunday, where I found myself and my excited, wide-awake, good-looking boyfriend driving down a dark, eerie road to a hospital that was 61 miles away. So There I was, just Sitting there in that fast moving car, patiently waiting for the top of my big-ole belly to become super tight, tighter than a rubber band wrapped around your stomach 1000 times.…

The game ended and we had a talk after the game, many people left angry and disappointed that we could not recreate our past success and win the Euclid Memorial Tournament. I learned many things from this experience, some things that would help me improve myself,…

The pain began slowly, pricking me with its sharp needles only while doing barre in ballet once a week. I ignored it, believing it to be normal, common discomfort that would soon go away, typical thoughts of a dancer whose entire sport is centered around “good pain”. The bland, brown and beige lobby became extraordinarily familiar as I waited two hours to be examined.…
