Last year during the baseball season, I was running into a plethora of problems such as not making contact and not getting hits. This made me feel hopeless and listless, as I had played baseball for years, and playing the sport was one of my favorite hobbies. Feeling unable to do anything about my predicament, my coach said that my teammates and I could come to the cages whenever we wanted to. I realized that this opportunity was the solution to my problem. I went to my team’s batting cages every day that my busy schedule would allow. I would stay in the cages for hours at a time, for consecutive days, and I would always try to put in the extra work and effort, and since I was industrious, and did not try to cheat myself out of practice.
