Wellness Assessment
Physical= 34, Emotional= 34, Occupational= 34, Environmental= 30, Social= 34, Spiritual= 36, Intellectual= 34, Financial= 35
My scores were fairly even for each of the wellness sections. Each section was in a “healthy” range. My lowest score was the environmental section. Because of my current scores, I do not feel that I need to make any behavior changes. I do feel that I need to maintain my current levels, which can take some work. I have to be aware of each of these sections in order to maintain a healthy balance. Regular self-checks can help me in this process.

These are situations that I need to be aware of because I could get into a situation where I become too involved with a client. I also know that when I become too involved with a client then I tend to give special privilege to that client, which is not best practice.

Using Supervision
Supervision is always something that I strive to utilize well. I am an out loud processor, so supervision is a time when I can speak through my thoughts with someone who can help me to process situations. I like to have a scheduled supervision time, but I also like to speak with my supervisor whenever something comes up. This helps me to address hard situations when they arise, instead of dwelling on it, and therefore becoming stressed.
The strengths of supervision in my current placement are that I share an office with my supervisor, and I can ask him questions at any time. The limitations to the supervision in my current placement are that I do not always agree with my supervisor about how our job should be done. Because of this I don’t feel that I can take everything he says as best practice. To obtain the highest quality of supervision I can also speak with other support staff at the school to see that the students and families are receiving the best care.
