Activities throughout my summer vacation
Graduating High school is something that every student can not wait to accomplish, but I promise you it only gets harder from there on out. Whether you spend your whole summer vacation at the beach, or at work, or even at home, you still enjoy every single second of it, because you do not have to go back and worry about completing your English paper the night before it is due. Throughout my summer vacation, I accomplished my school planning, pleasurable trips, and gained rewarding habits. School planning took most of my summer time. Signing up for college took a long process. Completing all the applications took hours on hours on end. It felt like the universities are asking the same questions over

I went down to shore around ten times. I have encountered many experiences with my family and friends such as visiting a new restaurant, meeting new people, and trying out new activities. The first new fast food place I tried was this pizza place named Manco and Manco pizza, it was right directly in the center of the boardwalk. The pizza smelled like fresh melted cheese with a hint of garlic and also had bright red pepperoni on it. The new activities I tried were jet skiing and surfing. Jet skiing was my favorite, at first you needed to take, an instructor with you to teach you how to drive the jet ski. However, after 2 or 3 times they let you go on by yourself. It felt so nice to be driving that jet ski on a hot summer day, gave you a very nice breeze and the mist from the jet ski itself hitting you in the face felt amazing and almost indescribable. My favorite thing to do while am there is to take long walks on the sand with my family and friends. The most peaceful area to be in. The best feeling is having the sand running through your toes, hearing the waves crash against the rocks and the sound of seagulls, and just seeing your surroundings is also amazing and amusing, worst thing about it is having that salty taste in your mouth at the end of the day but It 's not even that bad after you get used to

It was an extremely easy choice for me when we were told to pick our topic for the senior project. I immediately decided that I wanted to focus on the injustice that the elderly have been experiencing for quite some time now concerning depression and other mental illnesses. Researching and studying the causes and effects that elderly depression can have has truly been an eye opening experience. It has been fascinating seeing why psychologists and therapists have generally been glazing over the growing problem that is elderly depression. My path for this project has been a relatively smooth one.…

Some schools do not have a three-month summer break, but rather an additional three months of school. Others maintain the three month summer break. Supporters of year-round school believe that it is better to use the three months for school. Therefore, the traditional three-month summer vacation should not be maintained. A few opponents say that it is wrong to not have summer breaks for students.…

The traditional school year has been in practice for decades and in this time, has shown that it is greatly successful. To switch to year-round schooling would overall be incredibly inconvenient for each person involved. The traditional school year should remain in Niagara because in comparison to year-round schooling it is less expensive, more convenient for parents, and offers more opportunities for students. Funding for education is expensive enough as is, and possibly making the school year longer could alter these costs. To fund education all school staff must be paid, which includes teachers, secretaries, and janitors.…

The classic 180 day school year has been established since the early 1900s. Prior to this period, children who worked on farms in rural areas usually went to school during off-farming season in the cold, winter months. Then they would stop during the summer months to help their families on their farms. Because of this, the school year was shortened to accommodate these children. Currently many schools are considering, or already have, switching back to the longer school year with periodic breaks.…
