I want to be an educator that will make a difference in the lives of children and their guardians. I want to incorporate my personal values into my teaching and help foster them among each individual in my classroom. I want to be a role model that they will look up to and want to learn more from. I know that I can attach my personal values in the way I teach. Students can always see a person through the way they speak, dress, and act. I value learning, friendship, independence, responsibility, and creativity. I will demonstrate all these values. I will provide an abundance of opportunities to my students to show their independence and creativity. I will teach them to respect people and to create lifelong friendships with them. His theory is the social learning theory. His theory states that learning is a cognitive process that takes place in a social context. Students learn when they are observing another individual and then imitating the individual’s behavior and through direct instruction. They also grasp information through modeling. I want to model what they need to learn and then provide opportunities for them to practice the skills. The modeling process of Albert is very beneficial because it includes the areas of attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation. I will try my best to eliminate minor distractions so they can be focused on the lesson. I will model repeatedly in order for my students to retain the information and allow them opportunities to show what they have observed or learned. I love her thoughts on how students learn because curriculum is enhanced through the ideas, thoughts, and observations of children. My belief is that a child’s learning is a life long journey because it is endless. They will learn new concepts everyday. I want my students to view collaboration as an essential crucial part of education. I want them to be able to communicate with each other and enforce different strategies such as analyze, compare/ contrast, and critique information. I will also assign projects that will show their creativity an imagination.
