Black Holes: A Short Story

I’m sitting on a plane with a bunch of passengers I have never met before all headed to the same destination Durango, Mexico. Suddenly, I turned my head to face my mother and asked what did my grandfather’s house look like? My mother explained, that the house was a two story building with no front or backyard like any normal home in the city. I let out a sigh of relief because I have not visited my grandfather’s house since he passed away 11 years ago. However, my mother did leave out an important detail which was that the house was haunted. With negative feelings on hand, I was on my way to what I like to refer to as the black hole. While at home, I hearing some strange noises coming from the other side of the house. I thought that my family had come home so I didn’t put much attention to it. Then the noises started to get even louder and louder like if someone was in pain or crying. Out of curiosity I went to see where all the noise was coming from. As I opened the door to head downstairs, all I saw was an empty hallway cover in darkness and shadow. I proceeded through this dark hallway vary carefully not to make any more noise. I noticed that the noise was coming from the dining room. For some strange feeling, I felt extreme fear surging through my body like a needle piercing someone’s hand. However, my curiosity got the better of me so I took a deep breath went into the room. When I went into the dining room my grandfather shrine was destroyed like if by accident. I started walking toward the shrine to see if I could fix it. As I made my way toward it, the crying began all over again as if by magic. I stop dead in my tracks before I knew it the crying started coming from the door way. I instantly turn around and saw I dark figure standing in from of the door. I could not believe my eyes the figure by the door was my grandfather and crying about something. Before I knew it, I panicked and ran for the nearest exit as fast as my legs could take me. Once my
