Why I Want To Be An Elementary Teacher?

Introduction It is widely accepted in the Christian faith that mankind is created in the image of God. When an individual believes this, they can use their understanding of this doctrine to determine how to interact with people in their day-to-day lives. After I graduate, my goal is to become an Elementary Teacher. As a teacher I will interact with my students, other teachers, administration, and my students’ parents/guardians. I think it is also important to know how to interact appropriately in the community as a teacher, as well. Using the belief that everyone is created in the image of God while interacting with people as a teacher is very important. The two example I am going to discuss that I think are the most important are: love and …show more content…
God used his creativity to create each and every human being on Earth that was, is, and will be. Since we are made in the image of God, we also have creativity and we are unique. As a teacher, I can use this knowledge to interact with my co-workers by creating lesson plans together and other fun activities for the school and students. “Human beings are the most fantastic creations out of all of God’s creative designs. Though there are some pretty extraordinary things that other creations of God can do, it is hard to rival the full capacity of creativity, uniqueness, and knowledge of human beings” (Etzel and Gutierrez, 2012). I can also use it to encourage each student to learn what makes them unique and how to use that to succeed in school and in life. “Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith” (Romans 12:6). God gave each of us gifts and it is my job, as a teacher, to shine a light on each of my students’ gifts and use it to help them learn each lesson to the best of their ability. My job is to help children succeed and this is the best way I know how to do

The bible has a verse that talks about this it is 1 Peter 4:10. I talk about God giving us gifts and we are to use these gifts to help others. Short Reflection Paper- Theology 202 One of the doctrinal topics that we have discussed in this class is the origin of humanity. Many people wonder about their purpose and identity, which is answered when people learn about the origin of humanity. There are many different perspectives people have in the image that humanity holds, but the Christian view is distinct from other views. The different perspectives view humans as machines, animals, sexual beings, economic beings, free beings, and pawn of the universe. The Christian view acknowledges and believes that humans were created by God and were made in the image of God.…

In several Old Testament passages, beginning with the first scripture in the first chapter, we see that God is the creator of heaven and earth, and mankind. God not only creates man, He also puts His spirit within humans. We were created in His image, in His likeness; therefore, we have the capacity to create and flourish. Upon careful study of Genesis through Revelation we understand that God revealed His power of creativity by inspiring man to duplicate patterns for visual arts such as sculpting, wood work, stone masonry, poetry, dancing, musical instrumentation, and theater.…

Central to a person’s beliefs and actions lies their worldview. That is, what a person views as real, true, and of value will dictate how a person acts, responds, and views others. More than this, a person’s views in these areas will determine what that person gives his or her attention to and what that person avoids. Whether or not we take the time to analyze each of our beliefs and to determine whether they complement our other beliefs, we have a worldview and act based upon our worldview. Thus, it is important for Christian educators (or really all Christians) to examine their own worldview and ensure that their worldview is based on truth and not on relativity.…

Another area where the differences in opinion on the origins of the universe can lead to differences in one's worldview would be when it comes to humanity. The creation narrative featured within the book of Genesis constantly portrays humankind as being made in the image of God as well as being created by him (Genesis 1:26-28). In addition despite the fall of man which was also discussed later in Genesis, man is still shown to bear the image of God (Genesis 5:1-2). This affects the daily living of Christians since believers are to treat others with love and kindness since all people are created in the image of God (Diffey, 2015).…
