Introduction It is widely accepted in the Christian faith that mankind is created in the image of God. When an individual believes this, they can use their understanding of this doctrine to determine how to interact with people in their day-to-day lives. After I graduate, my goal is to become an Elementary Teacher. As a teacher I will interact with my students, other teachers, administration, and my students’ parents/guardians. I think it is also important to know how to interact appropriately in the community as a teacher, as well. Using the belief that everyone is created in the image of God while interacting with people as a teacher is very important. The two example I am going to discuss that I think are the most important are: love and creativity.
Example 1: Love
Love is the quintessence of God’s character. “God is love” (1 John 4:16). Everyone should treat everyone with love. This should be a universal law. As a teacher, I need to be a role model by showing how to love others. As students go to school they learn a lot about math, science, history, and language. Yet, they also learn a lot about how to interact with their peers and their authority figures. If I am having a hard time seeing eye-to-eye with another teacher, I still need to be able to show them love. I can do this by reaching out to them and getting to know them better.
