Power Point Lecture Overview Of Missiology

Superior Essays
To start with I will describe missiology. According to the power point lecture Overview of Missiology, it says “Missiology is the study of the salvation activities of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit throughout the world geared toward bringing the kingdom of God into existence” (Overview of Missiology). I feel that this is an important part of missions. We should bring people to the existences of Christ. This can be a problem at times because not everyone is able to contact with a different culture. To help us with this problem can be caused by so simple steps that we take. “Must take into account the local context – the time, place, language, culture – where the mission will be done” (Overview of Missiology). The bible has a verse that talks about this it is 1 Peter 4:10. I talk about God giving us gifts and we are to use these gifts to help others. I feel that this is telling us that God wants us to use these gifts. They are called are spiritual gifts. According to McGee “nothing should be withheld which may strengthen the life of the church, still less anything is withheld which is necessary for its spiritual sustenance” (McGee 62). I feel one of my strongest strengths is teaching young children. I feel that this is one of the most important spiritual gifts you can have, this is because children learn more when they are at that younger age the when than are older audits. I want to be on of this person to help teach these young kids how to live their life according to the way God wants them to. It will also be a joy to see them grow up into men and women that God wants them to be like. Even if I am in a public preschool I can find little way to show Gods love to the families by the way I act and the way the class environment is. Another type of spiritual that I am good at is helping people. If people ask me for help I will help them with whatever they need help with. This is a good spiritual gift to have to help the family when they need something and to show them Gods, love. I feel that if you know how to help people that will talk you a long way in life. The last spiritual gift that I have been …show more content…
I feel the different cultures learn differently and so people do not know how to teach them. We should try to learn about the culture we are going to be working with. I feel that most people do not realize this they feel that missions are a cut cutter process. There is one way and only one way to do missions. I know that not only every culture is different, but every person is different. I feel that the most import thing to remember is that everyone learns differently so you need to connect with everyone as an individual so that we can know how they learn. As a teacher, I will need to do this. This also goes into helping people. So people and so culture do things differently and do not want help for people. We are to learn how to reach the people who do not want are a help. We are to try are best to reach everyone in our life and bring people to Christ. The last thing is to be a good leader. This goes with both teaching and helping. We need to be able to teach people for all over the world how to do the job. You need to have a lot of patience to teach them because it may take them longer for them to get a hang of the job. It is also hard because they do thing different them we do there. I feel that people do not realize that they do not learn things as fast as we do and we expect them to. We also expect them to do thing the same way that we do but they do not. To do that we have to

The first truth that helps us in or urgent mission is all people have knowledge of God because he has revealed Himself through creation. However, we know that not everyone believes in God which brings up the second truth that everyone rejects the true knowledge of God. In result, we as people are all guilty and thus, there are no innocent people in the world waiting to receive the gospel. Instead, we all are standing before God guilty, and therefore this is the reason that everyone needs to hear the gospel so urgently. This need of urgency for them to hear the gospel message is because God has made a way for salvation for the lost.…

I learned that I have to make sure that I reflect/address any issues that I might have that could hinder classroom cohesiveness. I realized that if I have a better understanding of students with lower socioeconomic status and I learn how to address the issues they are facing I can promote better self-esteem for them and help build positive relationships with classmates without biases, discrimination, or prejudices. After researching socioeconomics in the classroom I learned many things that I can do as a teacher to enhance a positive learning environment to lower socioeconomic groups. I learned that giving students extra physical activities reduces issues associated with poor nutrition, incorporate daily vocabulary activities to improve vocabulary deficits, try to make connections to the student’s world, try to use positive affirmations every day, set high reachable goals, focus on core academic skills, teach coping skills for daily stressors they may encounter, and offer yourself as a strong, positive caring adult they can depend on (Jenson,…

Over the course of this class we have discussed the fivefold ministry and the different aspects of each ministry. I like to think of ministry like fingers- they all have separate tasks but together, one ultimate purpose. As written in Ephesians 4:12-13, the fivefold ministry’s purpose is “to prepare Gods people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” This means that a person may not only be called to preach but also to be an apostle as well. Followers of Christ need to remember not to let themselves be absorbed with the titles that they hold, but to be servants to all like Jesus.…

Because of my school education, we learned the same knowledge from the book, but our teacher didn’t teach the special knowledge about the place where we live.
