My First Day Of College Essay

I never wanted to move on from high school to college because I did not know if I would like it, but knew at some point, I had to. My first day of college was one of the most nerve wracking days of my life, because it was a new chapter in my life. I was ready for it and was hoping it would be one of the best experiences in my life. The problem was I did not know what to expect from college. My friends and family always told me how different it was going to be than high school and did not know if I was prepared. As I was driving to school it was different because I had to take the highway to school and of course there was an early morning influx. I finally arrived to Middlesex Community College in Bedford and realized there was nobody I knew. The college campus also had a different atmosphere than high school. I arrived at the campus an hour early to explore the campus and to make sure I know where all my classes will be held. I was looking forward to this class because math really interests me. My algebra class was about to start again, and nobody I knew was in this class. My professor was analogous to my English professor, but looked a little younger. This teacher also wanted us to buy a book, but this book was $150. This was probably the worst thing about college, buying books. She was talking about what our expectations are in this class, but said a quote that was truly consequential “Will it be easy? Nope. Worth it? Absolutely.” She also gave us a practice a test, and said we could leave as soon as we finish. The practice test was kind of hard, but that is why she gave it out to help us improve. I finished the practice test, and walked back to my car, congratulating myself for making it through my first day through
