REASONS WHY I’M ATTENDING COLLEGE
There are many reasons for my decision to attend Missouri Western State University. For example, I wanted to create a positive atmosphere for my family so I would become a better role model for my children. While in the meantime, preparing a solid support for my career, and furthering my education to improve my self-esteem. Creating a positive environment, and being a good example for my family, I feel is the most important reason for my decision to attend Missouri Western State University. Hopefully, with my struggles in life, my children will realize it is easier to further their education earlier in life. Also by establishing a new and exciting career, I will be able to earn the benefits of a good job and better pay. To provide my family with the security that I feel my family needs and deserves. My final, but none less important reason for my decision to attend Missouri Western State University, is to further my education, and to improve myself within the knowledge of a new career. Furthering my education will fulfill my need to learn and achieve the knowledge about the things that interest me most. Also, it will supply me with the feeling to be more comfortable with future situations, and gives me the knowledge and confidence to work under demanding pressures of everyday life. My reasons for college are probably just like everyone else’s. I am going to college because I have always wanted a better life for myself. I wanted to find a job that I would not be living paycheck to paycheck like my parents have to. I mean, who wants a life like that? I know I did not want that, and that is why I wanted to go to college, even more than is the main reason I wanted to go to college. And not having the hope for a brighter future. I moved in the middle of my junior, away from people that I had gone to school with most of my life. And had grown up with, so when I moved to the United States of America, It was all new for me, and it made me very anti-social. And even make me very more frighten to speak, for fear of being told that I have a different tune in my voice. Or I speak differently, I did not do the whole, High School experience at all. So a big reason I wanted to go to college was to get the experience. It was a huge dream of mine, to have friends, to be social, to be self-sufficient, or a young adult. I am hoping by being in College; I will be able to experience that. So overall, college is going to be a great thing for me. Not just because it says “Oh look at me, I went to college” but because I am doing something to make myself become a better person. So far, I love college; it has been a great thing for me, and I know eventually, it will pay off.
