My Best Friend and I
I first met Hannah Blake our fifth grade year in elementary school. We had the same fifth grade teacher, and instantly became best friends. We started hanging out because we thought it was the coolest thing that we had the same name and our birthdays are exactly two weeks apart. Over the past eight years, we have become very close. We have developed several similarities and differences between us throughout this time. The more time we spend together, the more I realize how alike we really are. Although best friends have a lot in common, no two people are exactly the same. A few of the differences between us are our personalities, our style of dress, and our career choice.
Hannah Blake has grown up all her life being an only child. I have grown up with two older brothers. I believe this has given me better communication skills over Hannah Blake because I have constantly had my brothers as company. I learned how to build bonds that couldn’t be broken at a younger age than Hannah Blake, therefore, I have better interpersonal skills than she does. We are both very big-hearted, happy, and positive people. However, when it comes to change, she deals with it a lot better than I do. I have never been good with adjusting to new things and new surroundings. Hannah Blake has always been good with adjusting to those things and finding a way to deal with it.
