Personal Narrative: Lillie Collins

Throughout my life, there has been many people who left a large impact on me, from teachers and coaches to parents and siblings. However, one person in particular stands out: my childhood best friend, Lillie Collins. Lillie and I first met in kindergarten at Lexington Elementary. I believe I ran up to her and said, “hey, let’s be friends!” Though we were friends in kindergarten and first grade, we did not become close until second grade. From that year on, we were inseparable. Lillie and I went everywhere together and we frequently told others we were twin sisters. One summer, she practically lived at my house.     On 01/21/16 I contacted Ashley Herring at her residence at 3320 W. Justice Road in reference to a domestic battery call. Ms. Herring said on this date her live-in-boyfriend of 13 years, Brian Mott, battered her because there were no cigarettes in the residence.
