In a recent National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) survey, people said they believed energy drinks helped them party for a longer period of time. "It's one thing to drink [energy drinks] but when combining with others things they can cloud your judgment and make you do things you probably shouldn't," says Ms. Natasha Sindicich, coordinator of the ecstasy and related drugs reporting system at NDARC. It's also the 'shock, jolt, crash' effect that makes mixing energy drinks with other substances dangerous, Sindicich says.
