Other scientists and researchers such as neuroscientist Sara Lazar, have proven in her recent studies entitled ‘Mindfulness meditation training changes brain structure in eight weeks’ in conjunction with the Massachusetts General Hospital (2011), that meditation can change the size of key regions of our brain increasing or decreasing brain matter, thus improving our memory, making us more empathetic, compassionate, and more resilient while under stress.
