It helps us change the way we relate to ourselves and the world around us. Meditation brings the brainwave pattern into a state of deep relaxation that promotes healing. It helps to develop positive states of mind, such as calmness, clarity, and emotional positivity. Central to meditation is the practice of mindfulness. When we are mindful, we are aware. We notice what is going on around us and inside us.
Regular meditation practice trains the brain and the body to be in the present moment and to enter into a relaxed state, where communication between the conscious mind and the physical body is dramatically enhanced.
