Leadership Assignment Abstract
Success in any professional environment requires an individual to acquire and maintain intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Through a personal evaluation, I have determined that the type of skill that needs the most improvement is my social skills. Building lasting relationships is necessary in any career that I pursue, and in order to further develop social skills, I have organized and implemented a plan. Prior to the implementation of this plan, I have used goals for myself for motivational purposes. During the implementation of this plan, I have made assessments of my progress, using a portion of the Autism-spectrum quotient to record my progress.

This directly relates to my improvement plan because it shows that in order to behave in a socially acceptable behaviour, it is important to understand what constitutes as good social skills. Factors that have been proven to contribute to this improvement include instructions, comfort, an encouraging atmosphere, feedback and reinforcement (Spence, 84-85). Personally, I have found that discouragement, embarrassment, and a general lack of comfort have inhibited my motivation to be develop acceptable social skills. During this process, I have ensured that I have a strong support system, which included my family and my close friends. They have constantly motivated me to continue, and given me constructive criticism and positive feedback. The plan that I have created contained specific instructions of what is required, including clear goals that I have set for myself to meet by the end of this
