Specific Leadership Issues

There are specific leadership issues that are facing today’s organizations. One, specific leadership issue is that homeland security issues are not discussed on the job by employees because Senior Leadership will not allow them to do so. Second, specific leadership issue is that employees involvement in emergency readiness is not encouraged by senior leaders, and they say employees that are on the job can not be involved in homeland security. Third, specific leadership issue is that only a few amount of Senior leaders is involved in deploying homeland security in their organization. Fourth, specific leadership issue is there is no community involvement in the organization involving homeland security. Fifth, specific leadership issue is that the organization does not consider homeland security issues in stakeholder transactions and interactions. Sixth,specific leadership issue is there is no processes in place to ensure ethical behavior in all customers, partner, and supplier transactions that have access to the organization. Eighth, specific leadership issue is the organization does not address or hold public forums to gauge homeland security concerns with current and future products, services, and operations.(Fisher,2013).
The first specific strategic planning issue is the organization may not have any strategic plans in place for homeland security, and this type of issue hurts the organization overall structure for homeland security. The second specific strategic planning issue is that there is not a vision in place that shows specific strategic objectives to executed a plan for homeland security issues in this organization. The third specific strategic planning issue is there are some key factors not being considered in homeland security strategic plan like a problem in its corporate intranet system or a problem with transportation. The fourth specific strategic planning issue is problems with transportation can mess with shipping and receiving goods and services and hurt supply chain needs. The fourth specific strategic planning issue is a planned approach has not been developed in order to identified key homeland security factors. A planned approach would ensure that operations within the organization can keep going in case of a major business disruption. The fifth specific strategic planning issue is that organization rely too much on local community, state, and federal agencies for protection from homeland security instead of having their own plan readily available in case of any threats, disasters, or attacks. The sixth specific strategic planning issue is that stakeholders’ homeland security needs are not being addressed in every way possible because the organization will not align strategic objectives for homeland security with its short- and long term business plans and goals. The seventh specific strategic planning issue is when strategic objectives for homeland security are being made it does not focus on specific security challenges and stakeholder needs within the organization. The eighth specific strategic planning issue that the organization have in place a human resource plan that should address homeland security, and the homeland security goals are not addressed by the home resource plan. The ninth specific strategic planning issue is that the homeland security action plan is not being tracked by the organization, and no homeland security performance measurement being tracked to keep
