Have you ever wondered why medical marijuana has not yet been legalized? In our society today, many people come across at least a variety of cannabis smokers in their lives that they refer to as “stoners” or “potheads”. With many different views on the drug that is so commonly known around the world, in America it has become a topic of political discussion. For instance, in the article “Medical Marijuana” by Anne Harding(www.webmd.com) it states how doctors normally prescribe the drug to people having problems with muscle spasms,nausea from cancer chemotherapy, seizures, etc. It can be used to treat diseases due to the fact that it contains some of the chemicals that our own bodies have that affect pain, inflammation, and many other processes.Some of the chemicals are even known to help our digestive system and to even fight off anything heading our way. A lot of conservatives and political standing people hate the commonly known drug and therefore try their hardest to make it difficult to legalize.
