According to Boone, there are several types of teams that can assist in carrying out a goal of implementing an intrapreneur idea. “The five basic types of teams are work teams, problem-solving teams, self-managed teams, cross functional tams and virtual teams” (Boone, 2012). The author describes work teams as those who perform the daily tasks needed to run the organizations. This type of group tends to have a full time status within the company and has the most tenure as opposed to the other work group categories. The second work group type is the problem-solving group. This preliminary task is used as a method to develop a job description. Performing a task inventory would requires touching on a couple of other methods but in a less formal manner. Task inventory utilizes methods such as structured questionnaires or performing brief interviews to help ascertain the information needed to create a task inventory. This approach would give a bulleted description of the duties of an employee or employees currently performing the role. According to Bareham, task inventory will “identify major job duties and responsibilities.” This approach is inexpensive and easily administered by the HR manager or hiring manager. With the formulation of a questionnaire there is no difficulty for the person filling out the task inventory as it is straightforward and would reflect their daily tasks (Wright, 2015). A drawback of this method is that it would not elaborate on the skills, knowledge and equipment that is necessary to perform those duties. This method would only state that the task is being performed. Another approach to gathering information for a job analysis is by utilizing a questionnaire. This approach measures the characteristics of the position and relates them to traits needed to perform the duties.
