Every student deserves an equal education and the wealth of the area in which one lives should not matter. One proposed solution to the Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor digital divide is a program called Wireless Ypsi. Its goal is to provide all of Ypsilanti with free internet access to bridge the community’s digital divide. This program could potentially help the schools in getting more access for technology. The schools and community of Ypsilanti could attempt to pass a bill that would give the schools a small grant. With the money, each school could purchase inexpensive laptops that could travel on a cart from classroom to classroom -- a lab on wheels. This would be a viable solution because in partnership with Wireless Ypsi, the school would not have to pay for internet access and the only economic burden would be the purchase of the laptops. This plan would help improve the lives of all Ypsilanti
