Learning Lessons in Love in 500 Days Tom Hansen, who had never been lucky with love, thought he had finally met the woman of his dreams. Seasons change, but his love for Summer wouldn’t seem to fall. Instead, it would spring up without hesitation. Everything was lovely until Day 290, when Summer’s love for Tom went cold like the winter. Tom goes back in time, reminiscing about his love journey with Summer. Tom reflects stating “Do you ever do this, you think back on all the times you 've had with someone and you just replay it in your head over and over again and you look for those first signs of trouble?”(Tom, “500 Days”). After finding out about Summer’s new found love, Tom learns something very valuable about love. What feels like real love, is not always real love. If it is real love, that does not mean it is going to last. 500 Days of Summer was produced by Mason Novick, Jessica Tuchinsky, Mark Waters, and Steven J. Wolfe. The film was directed by Marc Webb.
