I liked it because it made me feel that they loved each other. I didn’t like that Old Dan and Little Ann died. I can see why you made them die though because it was a better story that way. I also liked the feud between Billy and the Pritchards. I liked it because there should be a good rivalry/conflict between two people or groups. I also liked the fact that if Old Dan had to die it was protecting Billy. These are my likes and dislikes of your book. While reading your book I felt that I had a few connections to it. Your book reminds me of the book series Henry and Mudge. It reminded me of Henry and Mudge because both Billy and Henry were very close to their dogs. I also connected to your book because I want to get a dog. If I was to have a dog I would want it to be as protective as Old Dan and Little Ann. I also felt a connection between Old Dan and service dogs. Service dogs protect and care for their owners like Billy’s dogs protected him. These are my connections to your book. I really enjoyed your book. It was a very inspiring book. Your book made me feel emotions like sadness and happiness. Overall I thought it was a great book. It has many inspiring moments.
