My only experiences involve being a captain for my sports teams. However, even with my lack of experience, I believe being agreeable all the time is not a leadership quality. For example, for one of the presentations in class, I was called upon to be a leader for a skit. For the skit, I had to go talk to an employee of mine that missed a deadline. Instead of taking charge and telling the employee what to do, I was agreeing with almost everything he had to say. It almost seemed like he was the boss and I was the employee. Recommendations It is hard to come up with recommendations on how to become a better leader since I lack the experience. Nevertheless, I believe communication is a key component of a stronger leader. A leader needs to be able to communicate with their employees in order to run the organization. Leaders also need to be willing to listen to their employees because leaders do not know everything and should be willing to learn from them. I experienced this from an employee’s perspective.
