Before he became America's 40th President, Ronald Reagan pursued leadership roles to inspire and advocate for those around him. Describe how your leadership and service has made a positive difference in your school, in your community, in your family and/or on the job, and how it will continue to make a difference in college and beyond. Being a leader is a trait I've had since I was a little girl. Every time things went wrong, it seemed like I was always the one quick to try and fix it. When the church was lacking a Sunday school teacher, I decided to step up to the position. On Sundays, I began to teach the kids verses and give them little homework. I would tell them bible stories and answer questions that they wanted to know about God. We would have discussions about issues and find ways to help each other overcome little milestones we came forward too. I even started a choir group with some of the kids at the church. Every third Sunday the kids would sing a new song that I've taught them throughout the month. My next work with the kids is to create a praise dance group. So far I've been teaching some of the little girls' dances and have been looking for uniforms for the group. Ever since I've become a Sunday school teacher, I have made a big difference in these kids. I see myself as a leader and I watch as these kids follow my actions and our growing too little leaders of themselves. Many people only view leadership as someone leading a large group or someone doing speeches and advocating for others. Leadership does take part of those things, but it can also be someone just simply helping a small group around them. I may not be a big leader working with hundreds of people, but I am someone who changes a few lives each and every day. I know that when I enter college having experienced these small parts of leadership, I would definitely find a way to play a leader role in the school that I would
