What was the situation (project, program or activity) which you were involved with this individual?
The project I was involved in was to help create a new process for how an item SKU (stock-keeping unit) is created, which we worked on developing a procedure call an NIS (new item submission). The company I work for runs two big retail establishments, one is seasonal and the other is year-round. The problem was both lines of business were unorganized when it came to processing new item SKU’s, each line of business had completely different processes instead of one uniform way of creating NIS form.
The individuals involved were my manager Scott, Ryan and I. Scott is the manager of Ryan and me, he is also spearheading the project. Scott was in charge of developing a new process and creating everything from scratch. Ryan and I were in charge of gathering data, creating item SKU’s the old way, and figuring out what errors and issues were occurring. In addition, we were working on some programming and looking at a way to use Microsoft SharePoint to help streamline the new NIS process.

He also gained my trust by just trusting me to do my job. He also allowed me to generate new ideas and present them, he also challenged me to improve my skills which I enjoy. In addition, Scott will activity seek out training classes for me to attend to learn other lines of the business I would otherwise not understand, such as retail math and how it works with our business. He is a great motivating leader that makes you want to work harder for him and our
