1. When I worked at Macy’s, the first boss I had was amazing. By trusting in their co-workers and, defending their rights as workers were some of the characteristics that made him a great leader. He set expectations clear from the beginning. In addition, he used to give feedbacks about the work done and about future duties also. Moreover, he used to recognize the good work and effort of the employees. He was always polite and knew all his employees. He allowed us to celebrate co-worker’s birthdays at his office, and organize surprise parties as well for recognizing the employees. Since we had a good support from him we tried to do our best to accomplish every task assigned. In my opinion, he did a very good work overall as a team leader. I learned a lot from him about how to work in a team environment, he was not there just giving orders, instead he integrated himself and work with us at the same level. Also, when I used to work at Macy’s, I had the experience of having a very bad boss. Employees did not have any trust at all in her. She was a selfish person and did not connect we any person at work. First, she should have made a good relationship with her employees rather than just giving orders in a rude way since the begging. Being polite would also be very helpful in connecting with people. Depending on her mood state she treated her employees. She was not a team leader at all. She was there only to give orders and make our life difficult. I learned from this experience what a good team leader must avoid to be
